The sea creates a long and beautiful beach front with many recreational centers and some of the hundreds of the famous tsipouradika, with their famous distilled liquor “tsipouro” and the salty and spicy seafood appetizers that accompany it (mezedes).
The promenade Argonafton street near the port at the western end, with the stunning view of the sea and the beautiful hill of Pefkakia, is the most popular meeting point for residents and for visitors of the city.
The famous seafront of Volos, the most beautiful walk throughout Greece, an exclusive privilege of pedestrians and bikers. With slow steps, as well as with more fast ones, jogging, cycling, an enjoyable route by the sea, among lishing boats and saling boats on the one side, coffee shops and "tsipouradika on the other side.
