Volos airport
The National airport of Nea Anchialos opening flights are on July 1, 2020, as is the case for the country's regional airports. The prescribed protection measures for employees and travelers are observed in accordance with the instructions of the CAA.
The flight schedule until today is as follows:
Transavia France from Paris is landing every Saturday starting 4/7
Easy jet from London is landing every Wednesday and Saturday starting 25/7
Condor from Munich is landing every Wednesday and Saturday starting 25/7
Enter air from London is landing every Friday starting probably end of July [not scheduled yet]
Austrian airlines from Wien is landing every Saturday starting 4/7
Are accommodation facilities open in the destination?
According to the Greek authorities, seasonal hotels and other accommodation facilities like villas, rental apartments & studios are re-opening from June 15th while year-round hotels and camping sites are open from June 1st.
Every hotel in Greece is obliged to draw up and follow a protocol in accordance with the instructions of the Tourism Ministry. The action plan must comply with the recommendations of Greece’s public health organization – EODY and will be revised according to developments.
All hotels must inform their employees, guests, contractors, suppliers, visitors and the general public on the measures of their action plan. Even if If you're trying to avoid other tourists and overcrowded hotspots you may find lesser-known gems in Volos Pelion and safe hotel choices with lots of peace and quiet. Visitors must consider the risks when travelling. They are advised to avoid nonessential travel to areas with a local COVID-19 transmission. There is no vaccine for this new corona virus.
If you are travelling to areas with a local COVID-19 transmission, you should bear in mind the following:
Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and water or use a disinfectant, especially after coughing or sneezing, and before you touch and consume food.
Avoid any contact with patients who are having respiratory symptoms.
During your stay in areas with a local COVID-19 transmission you should:
Postpone your trip if you have a fever and/or respiratory symptoms, such as cough or shortness of breath.
Cover your mouth and your nose with a tissue or with your elbow (not with your hands) when coughing or sneezing.
Avoid any contact with other people if you have a fever and/or respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath.
After your return trip from areas with a local COVID-19 transmission:
Stay alert for any symptoms of illness for the following 14 days.
In case you run a fever and/or have respiratory symptoms, such as shortness of breath or a cough, 14 days after your return trip, you are advised to stay at home and seek immediate medical care. Make sure you mention all the details about your recent trip. Also, contact the National Public Health Organisation in Greece (1135, 00302105212054).
