Carnival & “Koulouma”

Four days Carnival Events "e Viva Volos" aiming at the entertainment of the local population and also the emergence of Volos as the weekend of Carnival ideal tourist destination.The events include outdoor concert and dance events. Carnival Parade offering local and traditional lenten dishes on Ash Monday in Volos beach and local communities.

25th March

“The Greek revolution of 1821”, that the enslaved Greeks conducted against the Ottoman Empire for the Independence of Greece. This day is honored with parades. An official holiday for the Greek Nation. Also, on this day is celebrated the Annunciation of Archangel Gabriel to Virgin Mary.
