Fakistra

The tiny bay of Fakistra, in the eastern part of Pelion, is located a 10-minute drive from Tsagarada and it stands out for its wild landscape of extraordinary beauty, which has not been spoiled yet by mass tourism.

The unorganized beach is covered with pebbles, has crystal clear turquoise waters and is surrounded by steep and high cliffs, which add grandeur to the whole scenery.

To get there, you must leave your car on the road plateau and go down a footpath of 200 meters. The sea cave of Panagia Megalomata is full of stalactites, and a few meters above, there is the cave where the Secret School of Tsagarada was operating during the Turkish occupation.
