Afissos

Afissos, one of the most famous resorts in central Pelion, is surrounded by Kallifteri and Abovos beaches.

With fine sand and crystal clear waters, Kallifteri beach is located at the village entrance and boasts a glorious sunset that paints the sea and the horizon with all colors of the rainbow. The beach is organized with umbrellas, sunbeds and beach bar, while there are also a variety of water sports. The same features are found at Abovos beach, too. Between the two beaches there is the beach of Lagoudi cove. According to mythology, the Argonauts made a stop in Afissos to get water during their journey to Colchis.
